As an ITE-summer town, the streets and parks in the centre of Parkano are filled with ITE-art (non-professional contemporary folk art), which can be encountered and explored throughout the whole summer! The exhibition has been assembled by Arto Tuominen, with works by Väinö Oja and Veino Kulju, among others, being displayed. The opening ceremonies for the LÖYDÄ ITE! -exhibition (Discover ITE!) were held in Juhlapuisto on Friday the 8th in June, at 17-19. The exhibition is open all the way from the beginning of June to the end of August, welcome to discover ITE!
The mobile map of the ITE-artworks in Parkano has now been released. Just download the app and you’re good to go! You can download the Nomadi app from your device’s app store or from app.citynomadi.com. In addition to a walking route the app also shows images and information as well as comments about the artworks by the students of Parkano junior high school.
On the browser you’ll find the ITE-route map directly from: bit.ly/iteparkano
The mobile map has been created in elementary school under the supervision of Hannu Kari and Emilia Male, as part of the Louhi, tutki ja vaikuta -project funded by the Finnish National Agency for Education.
